History of Braque d' Auvergne

Dubious origins which would go up according to some with the Middle Ages, where Templiers l' would have brought back crusade. Health

Behavior/Caractère

General aspect

Significant proportions

- Jaws: Solids, d' equalize length. Strong teeth. Articulated out of scissors or end to end.

- Eyes: Rather large, oval, of color hazel nut dark, enchased well in l' orbits, giving an expressive, frankly and soft glance. The well pigmented eyelid does not let see the conjunctive one.

- Ears: Attached rather behind. At rest l' l' attaches; ear is located at the lower part d' a line joining together the higher profile of truffle and l' eye. Neck

Body

- Line of the top: Tended well, right.

- Garrot: Marked.

- Back: Narrow, flat and short. L' backbone n' is not projecting.

- Kidney: Attached well, it is broad (especially in the females), very slightly convex.

- Croup: Oblique (35° compared to the line of the top), visible point of the hips.

- Chest: Long and gone down well on the level from the elbow. In cross section with a form ovoid, regularly curved, without rupture in the lower part.

- Line of the lower part: Towards the belly not greyhound bitch is raised gently. The side broad, little is dug, joined together with the hips without clash.

Color Black with white panachure d' variable extension. The characteristic of panachure makes recognize two types: Mouchetée or grisonnée. This difference cannot be used to decide between two of the same subjects quality. The head must be black with preferably a white list being prolonged at the head. The white of this list can s' to extend on the side parts of the muzzle. A white and mouchetée ear or a white and moucheté side of the head, cannot be regarded as defects.

 

Cut

Height with the garrot: (with, for the two sexes tolerance + 2 cm and - 1 cm):

- Males: 57 to 63 cm (ideal height: 60 cm)

- Females: 53 to 59 cm (ideal height: 56 cm).

 

Defects

Any variation compared to what precedes must be regarded as a defect which will be penalized according to its gravity.

- Lines of the chamfer and the cranium parallels.

- Head too charged under the eyes.
